This is a fantastic project and one that - being Nigerian - I’m excited to see the progress of. Hell, I might even invest…
WISHLIST | I have too many clothes. I know this - you don’t need to remind me. That’s why I need this wonderful seven-day chest of drawers by PHILIPP-MARKUS PERNHAUPT, so I can plan out my gladrags for the week and have one lest thing to think about in the morning. Monday at the top, Sunday best at the bottom. And according to Monocle, it’s something that could improve your life.

IF MODE | I am in the market for alternative city transport. At the moment, I can’t decide between a bicycle, a scooter/motorbike or a plain old-fashioned, pedal-powered bike. Well, there’s nothing old fashioned about the IF Mode bike, but it is certainly easy on the eye. And a fold-away bike might just be exactly what I need for a city like London. And I wouldn’t look like a dweeb wheeling it into the office, or weaving unconvincingly between the city traffic, not to mention the much needed reduction of my carbon footprint. Hmmm…

FRIDAY: I love emmas designblogg. Aside from the fantastic photos that she seems to spend a lot of time lovingly curating, I love the way EMMA’s enthusiasm for Scandinavian interior design is infectious and, I must say, I think I’ve caught the bug. I love this post on alternative bathroom designs - particularly the bathroom pictured above which features a lounge chair and chandelier and un-tiled, whitewashed walls that make it just as chic as other rooms in the house. I like this idea.

WEDNESDAY 7: Continuing on a Parisian theme today, this is Apple’s latest retail offering in the French capital. Sophisticated architecture featuring archways, columns and tiled flooring that wouldn’t look out of place in a renaissance church - and all for a computer store? Only in France, and only for Apple.

WEDNESDAY 7: This Parisian loft space-cum-summer house by designer PAOLA NAVONE is exactly the kind of urban getaway that I have been dreaming up for a while now. Meticulously and industriously put together making use of natural light and materials to retain an organic, homely feel. This would make the perfect spot for some of my other literary and creative endeavours. Parfait, as they say in France.

I really admire this brand. From its quaintly packaged and designed homewares and grooming products to it’s fantastically produced and advertised fashion range and it’s additional cultural offerings, Aubin (o-BAN / OR-bin?) & Wills are right on the money. It is a breath of fresh air to discover that a brand like this appears to be UK-based. Here are some of my favourite picks…

TEWKESBURY TEE (£49)

A brilliantly simple idea and wonderfully executed design. This would make the perfect bedside table/shelf. Literally flip between candlestick and lightbulb depending on your mood (of choice).
